Today, I’m going to talk about a very important subject, the main causes of a sensitive scalp, and most importantly, what you need to do about them.

This is the shampoo I've used when I was suffering from hair and scalp problems: Click here! You should try it too!

You will find all the information, techniques, and steps you need to use of the end of this post.

So, let’s begin.

You need to understand that your scalp is sensitive because of many causes, and in this post, I’m only going to talk about the most important ones, the ones you should really look after.

  • The first one is high blood pressure.

High blood pressure is one of the most important causes of scalp sensitivity, you need to understand that when you have this cardiovascular problem, small blood vessels in your scalp are going to be highly engorged with blood and will expand, this will cause your nerve endings to become excited and send pain signals to your brain!

Unfortunately, there is only one solution to this problem, you need to consult with your doctor as soon as possible, he or she alone can give you the right medication and the right treatments for lowering your high blood pressure.

So, remember this, too much blood pressure may be causing your sensitive scalp, so, better check with your doctor to know for sure what’s going on.

  • The second one is parasites.

Parasites are also responsible for having a very sensitive scalp, so, let’s say that you are suffering from lice, head lice to be precise, well, it can be extremely dangerous not only for your scalp, but also for your overall health, so, make sure that you have a lice free scalp, and if you have lots of pimples and inflammations going on, then, you are definitely suffering from scalp parasites, which are causing your sensitivity issues.

You have to try this natural product before using anything!!! Click here!

  • The third one is funguses.

I was a little hesitant to include funguses among parasites, but to tell you the truth, they are much dangerous, it’s because parasites that attack your scalp may be dealt with easily, for example, head lice can be dealt by just using natural oils such as coconut or tea tree oil, however, when it comes to scalp funguses, some tend to be extremely nasty and somehow very devastating, so, my advice is to check with a dermatologist because he or she alone can tell you for sure what’s going on in your scalp and why it is so sensitive, but from my experience, most people who are suffering from very sensitive scalps have got a problem with funguses or bacteria.

I will come to this later on, but what you need to understand now is that I have many posts dealing with scalp funguses and most importantly, how to deal and get rid of them very easily and naturally as well.

I highly recommend that you check them as well.

  • The fourth one is folliculitis.

In general, when your scalp is very sensitive, you have lots of itchy sensations, and you cannot even scratch it, then, you are definitely suffering from folliculitis, which means that your hair follicles are highly inflamed; you need to deal with this issue very quickly.

So, to give you a quick solution, you can apply some few drops of tea tree oil mixed with olive oil onto your scalp, then, massage very gently.

This will not only help reduce hair follicle inflammations, but it will also reduce itchiness and sensitivity very quickly as well.

  • And the fifth one is bacterial infection.

And when it comes to the most common causes of sensitive scalp, you only have two:

Funguses and bacteria, because they are both responsible for making your scalp highly inflamed and extremely damaged, so, as mentioned before, you need to check with a dermatologist because he or she alone can tell you for sure what’s going on, and if you are suffering from fungal or bacterial issues, and even if you just suspect this, then, you need to check my previous posts on this subject where I talk about very easy solutions to reduce your sensitive scalp issues.
